Apollo Wept, Book 2/3
Voyager: The Last Mission to Destroy Old America
Categories: Books, Fiction, Sci Fi/Fantasy
Selected:
In 2106, America is unrecognizable. Traditional values are criminalized, history has been rewritten, and a suffocating regime of “social justice” governs all aspects of life. Every word is policed, every thought scrutinized for compliance with the 169 recognized genders and sexual orientations.
Captain Pen Lencoln, one of the few remaining straight white males in leadership, receives what should be the assignment of a lifetime: commanding USS DESPAIR on an interstellar mission to locate Voyager 1. His orders? Replace a “bigoted” plaque showing only male and female figures with one depicting all government-sanctioned identities.
But Lencoln’s mission quickly becomes a battleground. Aboard his ship, Senior Social Justice Officer Borgmyn works tirelessly to undermine him, while a mysterious digital entity named “Pop”—claiming to be his ancestor—offers guidance from the ship’s computer systems. Meanwhile, a Chinese vessel shadows DESPAIR with orders to prevent it from discovering their secret mining operation on its return journey.
As Lencoln finally reaches Voyager, he faces an impossible choice: follow orders and erase the last remnant of Old America, or take a stand that could cost him everything. In the vastness of interstellar space, the final battle for America’s soul will determine whether its past—and potentially its future—will be preserved or forever lost to the relentless march of “equity.”
“Voyager” is a provocative military science fiction novel that dares to challenge contemporary political trends through the lens of a future gone wrong.
