July 28, 2022

Conroe, TX –  Derrick Evans has officially signed with Defiance Press to publish a book on his experience being prosecuted and sent to prison after participating in events related to January 6th. Evans is a former West Virginia lawmaker who was arrested and charged for entering the United States Capitol. Evans pleaded guilty to the felony charge and will spend 3 months in prison.

“Since January 6th, my name has been slandered in any which sort of way you can think of and I can state with full confidence that I am merely one of many people affected by the extreme polarization of our country’s politics,” explained author Derrick Evans. “I firmly believe that partnering with Defiance Press will allow me to share my story with the world, express my frustration with the current state of our country, and bring about true justice for January 6th all in hopes to build a better future for the next generation.”

Evans reported to federal prison on July 25th, where he will be finishing his manuscript during his three-month sentence.

“We are proud to announce Derrick Evans to join the Defiance Press author family,” explained Founder & Publisher, David Thomas Roberts. “We believe it is our duty to bring important manuscripts to the public, especially when it comes to the overreach of federal authorities and when grave injustices have occurred.  We look forward to Mr. Evans bringing his truths about the January 6th protests and his ensuing prosecution to light. This will be a must read for every American patriot!”

Defiance Press was founded by David Thomas Roberts in 2011, and has since built an outstanding roster of new and experienced authors who come from miscellaneous backgrounds, including Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Daniel Miller. Defiance Press has helped to create Amazon bestsellers, smash hits, and worked to bring about and maintain positive experiences for both new and accomplished writers.
