“There is a River” follows the compelling story of Carly Green, a pastor’s wife whose life takes an unexpected turn when she suspects her husband of infidelity and her sons go missing. Set against the backdrop of a once-vibrant Christian community, the novel explores themes of faith, forgiveness, and redemption.
Sweet, who began her writing career as a young student publishing poetry in the Grand Island Dispatch, crafts stories that entertain, inspire, and challenge women of faith. Her journey from teaching English in Buffalo Schools to becoming a novelist brings authenticity to her storytelling, drawing from real-life experiences and interactions with her former students.
