A dystopian tale of rebellion and hope in a robotic America

Set in a dystopian future where robotic teachers have become the norm, “Written in Purple” follows a group of teens and adults as they navigate a strange, oppressive America. The story centers around Jason Fontenot, a senior at Robotics Readiness High, who leads a carefully planned rebellion against the system. As a major hurricane approaches, unexpected alliances form, and the characters find themselves facing not only the storm but also the corrupt government of the United States of the Greater World.

About the Author:
Kristen Fruge, a native of Southwest Louisiana, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from McNeese State University. After teaching high school English for several years, Fruge left the public school system in 2023, determined to make a difference for her students outside the classroom. Now residing in Conroe, Texas, with her husband and four children, Fruge has turned her lifelong dream of becoming an author into reality with “Written in Purple.”
