My publisher has asked me to write a short biography to tell readers why I’m qualified to write this book. “Why” indicates an interrogative request. Love the gang at Defiance, but to be honest, my first reaction was… why not? So, from this perspective, I will address the issue.

At 73 years old, my life’s multiple occupations and experiences would cancel the “short” part of the biography by default. So, let’s shelve all that and deal with the work itself. As much of the book delves into a scholarly approach to today’s political issues, the fact that I’m a Billerica Memorial High School dropout (ok, I did go back and earn my diploma, but I’m still proud of the moniker) should qualify me, in today’s rotting state of education, as an inspiring source of information. The fact that I dodged the university system is exactly the reason you have picked up this book, and is exactly the reason you should read it. I have read and engaged in more research than any three PHD recipients of any discipline rooted in “Identity Studies” combined, and I’m at least ten times smarter than both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris could ever imagine in their wildest dreams. All these people have books.
