Jake Morrett is a passionate advocate for individual liberty and constitutional government. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Morrett developed a deep appreciation for American freedoms from his grandfather and during his military service. He later pursued a career in corrections and private security, before entering the healthcare field, working as a certified surgical technologist for over a decade now. This unique background – combining military experience, a variety of security skills, healthcare expertise, and a lifelong interest in politics – informs Morrett’s perspective on the proper balance between government and personal freedom. With a passion for American history and political philosophy, he spent years developing the concepts in “The Freedom Scale”. Morrett lives in Texas with his wife and young daughter. When not writing or working, he enjoys target shooting, debating politics to understand different political perspectives, and science fiction. “The Freedom Scale” is his first book.
