By submitting this form, I understand and agree to the following:
Defiance Press & Publishing (DPP) may currently be developing, or may develop in the future, projects based on its own internal ideas and/or based on submissions previously received from other authors that may be similar to my proposed idea or submission.

DPP's Commitments:
• DPP will not publish, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from your submitted manuscript without entering into a separate publishing agreement with you.
• DPP will not share your manuscript with any third party except as necessary for internal evaluation purposes or unless you enter into a publishing agreement with DPP.
• DPP will not use the specific expression, unique elements, or proprietary content of your manuscript to develop projects without your participation under a formal publishing agreement.

Author's Acknowledgments:
• DPP receives numerous manuscript submissions and cannot guarantee that another author may not independently submit a story, plot, theme, characters, or concept that is similar to my submission.
• DPP may independently develop, or have already developed, ideas or projects that bear similarities to my submission, provided such development does not constitute use of my specific submitted manuscript.
• General ideas, themes, or concepts that are not uniquely expressed in my manuscript may exist in multiple works in the marketplace.

Regarding Discussions and Feedback:
If DPP provides editorial feedback or engages in discussions about my submission, such feedback remains general professional guidance. Any specific, unique elements of my submitted manuscript remain my intellectual property unless and until a separate written publishing agreement is executed. This submission and any related discussions do not constitute a transfer of rights, and DPP may only use my submitted work pursuant to a formal publishing agreement.
